I heard he was going to be on a radio show (of a person who cannot be linked to per DU rules) so I tuned in to see what he would say. And, oh boy, this guy has a raw violent hatred of the President. He's talking all kinds of teabagger bullshit and says "don't blame BP, blame 'fedzilla'" for the oil spill.

He sees a vast awakening to President Obama's socialist/Marxist/Mao Tse tung-ers while on his current tour.

This guy is a real piece of work. And to think I used to jam to this...guy's...tunes.

he said he was coming to Ft Worth to meet his brother who was coming to Ft Worth from Houston, where he works. What brings you out this way, I asked. Brother wants to spend some time with me so he sent me a plane ticket to come meet him to see Ted Nugent at Billy Bob's Texas (both my friend and his brother are rightwingnuts). He asked if I wanted to go with them and I said sure. I wasn't aware of Nugent's idiocy then. And, funny, while bush was still president, Nugent had nothing much to say while on stage.

I'll never go to another concert he's any part of.

Nugent is a quite a nutcase but he is a very clever and persuasive dude with a very quick witt. Tony is on the exact opposite side politically of virtually every issue with Nugent but over time Tony began to nod his head to some of his crazy comments. It was one of Tony's better shows.. no matter how you feel about politics.
