Here's the link - The Colors of Warka: Paintings by Iraqi Women - to the thread if you don't remember....and would like to see all the paintings.

I inquired about one of the paintings and now I have the chance to purchase it. The State Department just emailed me. The money goes to the artist.

I'm so excited! Below is the painting I'm hoping to get.

Places in My Memory, by Sudad Abdel Ghani

The Colors of Warka exhibit will be going on display at the Iraqi Cultural Center in Washington DC in September of this year. In case anyone wants to see the exhibit. The paintings were previously displayed in the Exhibit Hall of the Department of State earlier this year.

4. I was shocked! I knew that others had asked about the paintings.
I didn't think I had a chance.
