Whenever I hear a multi-millionaire news "pundit" or politician who've never in their life done a hard day's labor casually ask "What's wrong with raising the retirement age?" I wonder just how long before the revolution begins......

I'm 56 yrs old and have worked all my life. I'm lucky to work in a profession I love but it entails a lot of physical labor. I've been injury free (knock on wood) and fairly healthy all of my life but with every passing year things are breaking down. Just as I'm beginning to see the end of the tunnel, some rich assholes decide that in order to keep their tax cuts I have to work an extra five years really makes me angry.

End of rant. After working all morning to come home and read that drivel got me a little ticked off.

Bankrupt 'em for trying to raise the insane amounts to send their kids to college, or paying for a serious illness. so long that I have given up hoping that this will ever happen. We can be shit on over and over again, and we just keep sitting in the bottom of the outhouse. Years ago, I swore that the one thing that would not be tolerated was messing with our Social Security. Now they have convinced the young people that there will be none for them, and they have upped the age to collect full benefits, and still we sit here.
