Tea Party Darling Sharron Angle Struggles To Persuade Some Nevada Republicans
Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle may be the darling of the Tea Party movement, but within the Nevada GOP community, the conservative hopeful has been criticized as "a very difficult person," "an ultra-right winger" and someone the state "can't rely on" to be their representative in Washington.

A growing number of Nevada Republicans are expressing skepticism over Angle's Senate candidacy. Some are even signaling they may not vote for the GOP contender over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in November.

Mayor Geno Martini, the Republican mayor of Sparks, Nev., bucked his own party this week when he endorsed Reid over Angle.

"Harry Reid's been very good for us for many, many years," Martini said of his decision to support the majority leader. "We can't rely on a new person, especially Sharron Angle, to do anything for us here in Sparks." <snip>

4. He will.
Angle's support is an inch deep. Most of those supporting her in the polls do so because she is not Harry Reid. Once they find out who she really is and what she wants to do to them, the voters will drop her like a handful of bear poop. Just watch.

5. I agree. Reid was double digits behind all Repubs in the primary a few months ago.
Running even with any challenger now means his numbers came up. And Angle is hanging herself in a state with 14% unemployment, she called UE benefits 'welfare' and she's called SS 'welfare.' She's running one ad against the stimulus saying job creation is not the job of government and another bashing Reid for not creating jobs. She's all over the place.I can't think she can win.
