I grew up in Joliet and for a couple years in the 70's was a Joliet Herald-Newspaper delivery "girl." Awesome that they are republishing these historical articles.

Steady employee cuts in teaching, and state and local government jobs. Same as the Joliet papers.

7. Nov 27, 1932's displays the same false idea some have today, that those who are doing
well or ok have some kind of duty to spend money. No way I'm spending money in a recession.
