5. I actually thought that was a poor question.
Companies can get audited even without having a history of tax evasion. The IRS has a scoring system to rate high risk tax returns, and if you lose the RNG, you get audited. I wish Matthews just kept pushing him on the sales tax issue, which was a lot more relevant.

6. I think that I saw it as Tweety exposing that the guy's "politics"
are really rooted in a personal animus rather than a well thought out position--so, if he got audited, he saw it as a personal affront that required a ("metaphorically") violent rhetoric/solution as retribution.

8. Yeah.
I guess that's what he was trying, but like I said, being audited in itself isn't that big a deal, especially if it only happened once, which is what the guy said. If it happened year after year after year, it's most likely because he has been doing some shady accounting.

7. Funny thing about the fair tax. Everyone for it pretends that they
will pay less in taxes. I've wasted my time explaining this before to teabagger types. If someone is going to get a break with the "fair" tax, someone else is going to pay more. Middle to lower class people that think they are the ones that will get the break are delusional.
This usually gets me an explanation about how the government faced with less revenue will have to cut spending and shrink. Not gonna happen!

9. No, no, no!
Don't try to help them learn by letting them handle the checkbook! I did that with my ex-husband once and we ended up paying off tens of thousands of dollars of idiocy after just a few months!
