"When Russell Madden signed up for the Army two years ago, it was with one purpose – to provide medical care for his son. Four-year-old Parker suffers from cystic fibrosis.

“Where he had been working he had no benefits or anything like that,” said Madden’s sister Lindsey Madden, “so he joined because he knew that Parker would always be taken care of no matter what.”

Knowing that he was willing to literally put his life on the line so that his son could have a better life,” he said. “I don’t know what more you could do.”

While overseas, Madden would use a Webcam to see his family and play guitar for his sons, his sister said. “He made up songs, not real songs, but funny songs, just to make everyone laugh,” Lindsey Madden said. “He was a riot, always singing and dancing.”

RIP.

If we didn't get a piss poor healthcare reform he might still be alive today. And if we didn't start illegal wars and occupations tens of thousands of innocent people would still be alive today also. But I digress.

4. Yes - it's another tragedy of the health care system.
What an awful choice to have to make - having to go to war to get health care for your child.

2. How many more names need to be added to this list
before this government decides enough blood has been spilled??

Let the ones for war go fight and most wars would not be started and if they did
they would not last very long.

5. We could add an infinite number to the list
because the majority of the people voting for it aren't affected personally. There's a reason that Biden spoke out against the war a lot louder than Clinton or Obama did.
