KABUL (BNO NEWS) — Two American service members were shot dead in eastern Afghanistan on Sunday, the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said.

ISAF said the service members died as a result of injuries sustained in a small-arms attack in eastern Afghanistan, but provided no further details.

The incidents come as the number of coalition casualties in Afghanistan continues to rise rapidly, with nearly one hundred service members being killed in June alone.
