1. The upper ranks of the military - 0-6 and above - is infested with Bush right-wingers.

We will have to wait until the current crop of Captains and Majors mature into Generals, to have non-right-winger military generals. Even then, it seems like the military tends to attract mostly right-winger types, from what I've seen. As a liberal who was in the Army in the early 90's, I felt very much out of place.
