Secret Service Has No Record of Alleged Bush Poisoning

In her memoir, Laura Bush claimed "that she, Mr. Bush, and several members of their staff may have been poisoned during a visit to Germany for a G8 Summit. They all became mysteriously sick, and the president was bedridden for part of the trip."

However, there's no record of the episode ever happening.

Yahoo! News "filed a Freedom of Information Act request looking for any documents -- e-mails, investigation reports, incident reports, etc. -- related to the alleged incident. In reply, the Secret Service informed us today that 'a review of {our} systems of records indicates that there are no records or documents pertaining to your request in {our} files.'"

2. I wonder how much of that was Pickles, and how much was the ghostwriter.
I wonder if it was some off hand remark from Pickles like "boy, I got so sick on that trip, I thought I was poisoned."

To which the ghostwriter thought, "shit, I've got to sell these stupid fucking memoirs one way or another, I'll run with it."

4. Probably went the way of this coke arrest.
I laughed at this comment from the website:

Additionally, the Secret Service notes that, although she, Mr. Bush, and several members of their staff claim Dubya won the presidential election in 2000, there's no record of the episode ever happening.

5. I wondered when the hotel in Germany
would file suit against the comments. After all, it's slander, isn't it? I also waited for the release of information re: the amount of alcohol imbibed by Drinky McDumbass during his visit.

In the meantime, it's amusing to see that Pickles' efforts to put lipstick on a pig were unsuccessful at the least.

:woohoo:

6. When a President is bedridden due to an illness, aren't we
supposed to be informed of that? These people don't know how to tell the truth.

16. Of course there was no record of the incident happening - Bush was falling down drunk
The Secret Service, the State Department, and the Military always covered for the idiot son. Bush was drinking and he got away with it.

8. Look, these people lied for years about breaking the laws, our Constitution,
basically anything good or progressive...so why be surprised the Stepford Wife made something up and wrote about it? She probably still denies running over and killing her ex-boyfriend. I would live in a drugged up dream world too, if my motherinlaw was BABS!

10. Secret Service covered up the incident because
it was Laura trying to poison GW. She forgot that she was the responsible party. Welllllll it could had happened that way.

Back in his "wild youth."

15. Doesn't the President eat completely different ingredients than everyone else?
I thought I saw that someplace. That the secret service vets all the Presidential foodstuffs and even though it looks the same, it ain't.

In that case, how could the President AND the first lady and several staff members get "poisoned"?
