Ronald Neame dies at 99; British filmmaker ~ I met him
My uncle is a patient in the Rehabilitation Center of Beverly Hills.

I visited my uncle last week.
I met his room mate during my visit.
What a nice guy he seemed to be -- because of his condition, he was not able to talk much. But he smiled and told me that my uncle was very kind.

Today ~ Father's Day, my family spent the day with my uncle at the Center.

When I walked in the room, Mr. Neame was not there.

That's when I was told about his passing.

He had the nicest smile and said he was glad to have my uncle sharing the room with him.

2. I met him too
I was taking a cinematography workshop in Laguana Beach and he was teaching a directing workshop at the same time. His class and ours would screen films together.

5. I think so
To be honest, I don't remember much about him. Those of us on the cinematography side were too busy worshipping our mentor (Andrew Laszlo).

These men were artists in the truest sense of the word. Each night we would screen a movie by either Neame or Laszlo and they would give us insight into the filming of the movie. To see first hand how they would think and see was inspirational. It was a wonderful experience.
