Williams steps aside as chairman of Tea Party Express
From Martina Stewart, CNN
June 19, 2010 3:14 p.m. EDT

Washington (CNN) -- Conservative radio talk show host and prominent Tea Party activist Mark Williams is giving up his role as the chairman of the Tea Party Express, Williams told CNN Saturday.

Williams said his decision stemmed from his involvement in two other major projects.

One is opposing the construction of a mosque near the site of Ground Zero in New York, where the twin towers of the World Trade Center were destroyed by Islamist hijackers on September 11, 2001.

The other is leading a recall effort against some members of the Sacramento City Council and running for a spot on the local body himself after the council voted to boycott Arizona over its new immigration law.

2. "destroyed by Islamist hijackers"
One is opposing the construction of a mosque near the site of Ground Zero in New York, where the twin towers of the World Trade Center were destroyed by Islamist hijackers on September 11, 2001.

Of course, this should be more accurately phrased as, "by Saudi Arabian hijackers." But, well, the M$M has to keep catapulting the propaganda and what not.

5. He wants to get a seat on what? *snort*
For those who aren't from around here, Sacramento has a serious sprawl issue, and very little of the housing in the Sacramento area is actually within the Sacramento city limits. Most of the sort of people who would willingly vote for a teabagger for anything live way the hell out in the suburbs, many of them in other counties, and are no more qualified to vote in a Sacramento city council election than for the next pope.

And Sacramento proper's most reliably socially conservative voting blocs? They're black. All those pictures of teabaggers with racist photoshops of Obama? They're gonna fucking love those.

He's soooooooooooooooo fucked.
