Enfield couple arrested in biker gang sweep

ENFIELD, Conn. (AP) - Police say a Connecticut town official and her husband were arrested in a case connected to a multistate biker gang crackdown.

Federal agents and Enfield police raided the home of Kelly and Clifford Hemmeler on Tuesday and say they found four handguns and illegal steroids.

Kelly Hemmeler is a member of the Thompsonville Fire Commission and a district captain for the local Republican Party. Police say Clifford Hemmeler is a known Outlaws gang member and a convicted felon who is prohibited from owning guns.
