1. precisely why this is the gift that keeps on giving.
And why we should take this argument into November.

Unfortunately, there is one herd of cats fully capable of taking this gift horse, look into its mouth, and screw it up something fierce. I do believe they are called the Democrats.

4. I saw somewhere it was a GOP leadership talking point
and they even had the memo.

It didn't play as well as they thought then they socalled turned on Barton just to save face.

Maybe it was TPM or Digg I saw the memo and the behind the scene story..

5. Republicons = Anti-human beings, pro corporate payola
Edited on Fri Jun-18-10 05:50 AM by SpiralHawk
Very simple.

No wonder the American people have in droves turned their backs on the shameful behavior of the republicon homelanders.

Republicons damn well deserve to have this ugly truth about themselves smushed into their smirking chickenhawk faces -- like the fetid, farking Feces Pie it is -- all the way to 2012 and beyond.

7. It's crazy. The GOP wants to protect them and make tax payers pay and
Obama secured 20 billion dollars from them. An enormous difference! 20 billion more bilked from taxpayers!

Yep. Just heard this on Public radio driving home. The dems say they can't believe what a gift Joe has given them before the election. Say they will use his 'apology to BP' soundbite nationwide to paint the Republicans as the party of big oil.

Thanks Joe.

8. The Canibalization Of The Rushpublican Party...
Barton didn't speak alone...and we're alrady seeing the wingnut world rally around him. To them this is all about President Obama and their ongoing meme of his "socializing" the country...the latest episode is "shaking down" BP. To hell with the lifestyles of those who are affected by this criminal disaster. Corporates must be protected at all costs and anything and everything the government does is bad...or not enough. It all depends on how bad it makes this administration look.

Many GOOPers are busy reading their own press clippings of how their gonna win big this November and the more teabaggy you can get the better. It's a pissing match going on inside the frayed rushpublican party as to who can be the most strident and obnoxious...making them the latest hero of hate radio and Faux Noise. The "leadership" has to know standing up for BP is like defending cancer, but this is also a fight within their own crumbling parallel universe.
