3 girls going into 7th grade and 2 boys going into 8th. Two have Mexican heritage, two El Salvidor and one's family goes back deep around here.
My little town of about 4,000 is about half latino. They and their parents were brought in to break the union in the meat packing industry. I am part of a group that mentor some of the kids (based on criteria) and help raise money for their college.

In the beginning of the book Anne talks about some of the oppressions Jews must endure. So I ask the obvious question. Does anyone know of a situation where people are being singled out for special treatment because of their race anyplace in the world today?
