1. Then the campaign ads need to show Barton dripping the black.
Unless you think it makes him sympathetic, like a pelican.

2. He should give the money back to bp if he is so concerned
about them having enough money.

Or give it to the Gulf coast people.

3. And once again a mouthy Republican steals the media headlines
so the media won't have to focus on Hayward's weak testimony.

All hat, no cattle.

4. What a surprise. NOT. We need to keep calling these guys Oil Whores...
Oil Whore Barton. Oil Whore Barbour. Forget Congressman and Governor - they and others have earned their new title.

8. Strange. When it's oil money to Obama
the choir says that doesn't count because the donations came from individuals. When it's oil money to Republicans, the choir shouts for blood.

Is it too much to ask for consistency?

10. How much $$$ is needed to win that office in that district as a GOPer?
I'm betting it doesn't take $1.4 million.

11. So, he is on the take!
Money for favor...the republican way. Hell, it's the congressional way! They all do it. I think it should be an impeachable offense to take money from a corporation and not recuse yourself from voting on an issue concerning that corporation. It's called BRIBERY! Why is it legal?
