6. Every four years, that's how we NH residents pick your President.

While our primary isn't exactly "open", we allow "undeclared"
voters to take whichever party's ballot they wish, so the Democratic
Primary is always full of Republican assholes monkey-wrenching.
A huge number of our "undeclared" voters are obviously Republicans
and Libertarians.

here in NYS you need to be in a party (or be a JD / notary) to carry nominating petitions. You need to be in the party to vote in the primary.

republican nomination. So most of them would cross over and vote for the Democratic candidate that is least likely to win against the republican. Thats why they want open primaries. Like they just voted on in California.
