Tweety & The Pundits Got It All Wrong About Tonight. Surprised?
They were saying this is a change election, and that incumbents were in BIG trouble.

Right. Blanche Lincoln beat back the change candidate in Arkansas. In NV, Harry Reid will face a nutjob tea party candidate - which means he'll win easily.

In CA, two quasi-RWers ran as extremists and BOUGHT their way into the fall election. Meg Whitman spent $81 million of her own money to earn the honor of losing to Jerry Brown this fall. Failed and fired HP ex-exec Carly Fiorina will go down inflames against Barbara Boxer this fall as well.

If you are Harry Reid or Barbara Boxer or Jerry Brown, you couldn't hope for a better outcome from the R primaries.

1. You are completely and totally wrong...
"If you are Harry Reid or Barbara Boxer or Jerry Brown, you couldn't hope for a better outcome from the R primaries."

Reid and Brown will have bruising election contests and there is a good chance both could lose.

Boxer should be okay against Fiorina, but I wouldn't do a victory dance just yet. The economy is awful both in California and nationwide and in such circumstances anything can happen.

Reid will probably be down in the polls against Angle as of tomorrow. Brown and Whitman will probably run close, but I am not very confident Brown will win in the end.

Lincoln has the best shot at keeping that Arkansas seat in Dem hands, but she will probably be down around 10 to Boozman as of tomorrow.

Just because some incumbents didn't lose in the primaries doesn't mean they wont just lose later in the general.

3. I dont know
I think Harry Reid is going to win flat out. The polls may go up and down in the coming months but Harry easily got the best opponent he could ask for. Sharon Angle has a lot of skeletons in her closet and is definitely going to have a lot of explaining to do, I expect a Rand Paul type situation with her to happen in the coming days.

As for California, Fiorina has no chance against Boxer. Whitman will most likely keep the race fairly close up until the end but I am pretty sure all the damage control she is going to have to do in the coming months; in order to disassociate herself from the more far right ideas she has had to say recently will hurt her. Also, as her campaign expenditures near 100 million a lot of people are going to start thinking shes ridiculous.

My main point is that all these female republicans have really distanced themselves from most moderates with their extreme right wing ideology and it is going to be very difficult for them to walk all that back without seeming like a complete hypocrite.

I also cant get over the fact that Jerry Brown has not even started campaigning and holds a decent sized lead over Whitman. She has basically had to spend 75 million to keep herself within single digits.

4. Brown and Boxer will win.
I am completely confident. Not that it means much, but I was sweating in 2002 with Gray Davis, and he won by 5. I knew Angelides was a lost cause in 2006. Whitman signed her warrant with her anti-immigrant rhetoric. She broke script and the damage is done. She'll lose by 5, at least. This Fiorina character will lost by 10.
