Isn't it? It's a lot easier to think of it that way, AFAIC.

It's the economic system. It's the root of all of it.

No doubt bush pushed things along quite well but to think that he was more than a cog in a machine (of which Obama is also a part) is a totally counterproductive to fixing anything. To say anything 'originated' with bush is dangerous thinking, imo. As if we can just overturn or improve a few laws and that will make a substantial difference. And to do that not just for industry environmental regulations but for every other issue - labor rights and wages, wars and the military industry, health care, education...

It must feel hopeless to think each of those things needs to be tackled piecemeal, like whack-a-mole.
