I've been kind of out of the loop on the BP threads (Kevin Costner's machines?)

but wanted to know if they tried Kevin Costner's machines, and if they helped at all. It's a shame if they didn't try them, but perhaps they did, and they couldn't handle the amount of oil?

He's put #25M of his own money into them, and this would have been a great validation of their effectiveness. I hope they're not using them because he's an actor, but hey, as we know, actors in OUR world get elected president.

1. My understanding is they do work to clean up oil and they are using them

in the LA parrishes. That was the last I heard. Of course, they can't stop a leak.
