The BP disaster & Big Oil should become the topic of Michael Moore's next movie.
The half-assing around with safeguards that could have minimized damages from this disaster. The Cheney energy summit that dismantled regulations that would have minimized damages. The money BP and other energy companies have paid into the pockets of influential members of Congress. The total economic damages. BP executives' boneheaded remarks in response to the disaster. He could project this to other parts of the world where this has happened.

He could also dig into how Big Oil has influenced policies regarding fuel efficient vehicles and stymying efforts to make alternative fuels viable.

And I'm sure that I'm only scratching the surface.

This movie would make F-911 look like a kindergarten fairy tale. The movie is almost writing its own script.

2. I'm wondering when BP is going to hire Blackwater to keep the indie documentarians out?
If they are hiding shit now -- imagine how bad it is going to get?

4. And show how they've been quashing innovation into alternatives for 50+ years.
And how if they hadn't, all the lives, ecosystems and money our civilization could have saved -- probably even to the point of narrowly avoiding extinction.

No punches pulled. Damn good idea.
