I really hate mosquitoes and I'm already covered with bites but
I don't think I'll be using that clip on insect repellent any time soon:

3. I'll suggest one to my husband for the side of the barn.
We have bats in the woods out back, but we can always use more! Do they eat hornets as well?

4. Look for Lemon Eucalyptus.
Non-toxic and effective. I have found that it also reduces swellings on bites (by accident).

6. I haven't had a mosquito bite for my entire adult life.
It's odd; is there something in the body chemistries of certain folks that mosquitos dislike?

8. I think there is.
Someone once said to put a Vitamin B tablet under one's tongue and let it slowly dissolve.
I did that, but I became super-energetic.

9. That's because they're all stuffed after biting me!
You're right though - the mosquitoes go for me and the fleas for my husband. That's how we know when it's time to treat all the pets, when my husband's ankles get bitten!

12. Do you eat a lot of garlic and onions?
It seems biting insects don't like them.

18. Do you eat a lot of garlic?
My brother makes this garlic "tea" that he sprays in his back yard, mosquitoes don't like garlic. I would think if you eat a lot of it, it's the same type of effect.

15. Me and ten other people can be standing together
and I will end up with all the bites, they will get none. I have tried everything. Nothing works. The rub on repellent, the sprays etc. Some one said to plant lemon grass outside the windows, but here in MN I can't find it. I wish they would make some kind of stuff that helps me.

21. This is what my brother uses to keep mosquitoes at bay
http://www.dirtdoctor.com/organic/garden/view_question/id/155/

You can just sprinkle garlic around your garden/yard or make a garlic tea that you then spray around to keep the mosquitoes away.

On a side note, I love the Dr Doctor. He has a wonderfully informative radio show and his website is really great too. :)
