Is anything being done to prevent or minimize another off-shore oil disaster?
Have regulations or inspections been beefed up at the other off-shore drilling platforms? Has there been a call for emergency contingency plans for ALL drilling platforms? Do the drilling operators have a better handle on how to deal with emergencies at the other rigs, perhaps ones that are in shallower water? Is the Federal government too preoccupied with Deepwater Horizon to investigate if there may be trouble brewing elsewhere?

drilled but not used for one reason or another and capped with cement for later use if the drill was successful. I'm wondering how many of these might be leaking and none know it other than top brass at an oil company. Or many none know about...
I'm wondering if that is where some of the plumes are coming from... and what horrors we don't even know of as time progresses. They're pretty much hidden out of sight out of mind in the ocean until discovered unlike a land leak. Certainly no oil company IMO is going to volunteer information about a slow oil leak(s).
