I'd love to see the President of the United States just showing the nation what a lot of residents of Louisiana sadly know by now. He didn't go to louisiana for a couple weeks after the incident because no oil had hit shore, but it makes for a convenient attack for Rove et al.

there's a handful of players with expertise in deep water oil drilling, and BP is one of them.... the U.S. govt is not. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Imagine if the U.S. had a state run oil co and this happened, then 100% of incoming attacks would be on Obama, rather than primarily on BP in this case.

Maybe Obama can replace Biden on the '12 ticket with Aquaman...
