This one's been under the national radar but chances are you're going to be hearing more about the group behind this ad attacking Florida gubernatorial hopeful Rick Scott (R).

The group behind that attack ad is Virginia-based Alliance for America's Future, an independent expenditure organization headed by Mary Cheney, daughter of the former vice president.

In Nevada, Secretary of State Ross Miller is trying to get a restraining order against some ads the group aired there, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

Miller's trying to force the group to register as a political action committee. The group is resisting, saying it doesn't have to register with the state as a PAC because its ads didn't expressly tell voters how they should cast their ballots.
