Nothing is guaranteed.

5. The junk shot is their last resort in this
which would mean they have little confidence anything is working.

Until I hear that they are trying a junk shot, I'm pretty optimistic given what we;ve seen so far.

9. according to the BP video briefing (I know, I know)
the next step would be to cut off the riser and attach another pipe running from the drillship. Same general idea as the top hat but more technically sound. Sorry, I don't have a URL. Saw it linked on another site and neglected to bookmark it.

11. Last resort until they get the relief well drilled.
Sorry, should have qualified it but I thought everybody understood the only solution to underwater blowouts in every instance to date was drilling relief wells.

2. Great photo of all of those guys in a room hashing out a solution.
If this kind of effort were something proactive instead of plugging up an environmental disaster, it would be really inspriing.

7. Oy, and a clear lesson into the ICS
what do you expect them to do? Have every one of them DOWN there? As in UNDER THE WATER?

Hate to point this out, but this is how you handle a disaster. The top guys are at a room, DIRECTING operations.... we call it a command center.
