10. CHEERS to the hard working engineers and especially the very talented ROV operators.

There is obviously some good talent at BP. Sadly it is wasted by corrupt and overly risk prone upper management.

I mean an engineer doesn't want to see a rig they designed collapsed. A drilling tech doesn't want to see his buddies die in fiery death. A ocean geologist doesn't want to see the Gulf he lives near be destroyed.

Upper management has pushed maximum profits above everything else. To do so they needed to take massive risks and they rolled a snake eyes.
