2. He opposes marriage equality.
He supports a Constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage.

I have no idea what his stance is on DADT, but I suspect it's probably the same as every other fake right-wing "Libertarian": opposition to gays in the military.

3. no. because like most "libertarians" these days
they aren't true libertarians, they're really disenchanted Republicans.

They want corporations to get every break possible from the government and people's personal lives to be regulated as much as possible.

IMO, they're really fascists.

6. did I say "all"? - no, I said "most"
and these days, it seems that everyone I hear claim to be a libertarian is exactly what I described.

My dad is probably a true libertarian, but he doesn't call himself one. He just actually believes in keeping government out of people's personal lives in addition to out of business. Most people I hear about or run across calling themselves libertarians lately are more of the Rand and Ron Paul variety.

5. He's not a libertarian so I doubt it.
As for his Dad, I think he just wants the govt out of the marriage business period.
