Marsh Island oil report confirmed
I hadn't realized how far WEST the oil had gotten -- the emphasis on coverage thus far has focused on it moving north and east.

The state's Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness office said Thursday that oil had washed ashore Wednesday at Marsh Island in Iberia Parish. The state had received reports of oil sheen in the area and a team visited the island. Scientists confirmed that emulsified oil, about 200 yards long, was on the shore. The oil will be tested to determine whether it is from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

1. Does anyone think it's strange that they always finish with
a blurb that says the oil will be tested to see if it came from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
