3. Doubt it. It would be nice if this live feed was from the other side...

...it seems like they picked a side that is more plume-like, giving the impression that the oil is moving slowly. The other side would allow better analysis of flow rate, methinks.

I was watching the spill for a little while and then it switched off and I was watching someone mess around with some application settings. US senate logo was in the background as the desktop wallpaper.

5. Yep, it's gone flakey. It was working a few minutes ago. Looks like they're actually getting a feed

from CNN.

6. an interesting comment on the cbc website...

"they have destroyed the gulf of Mexico,and still they want every drop of oil they can recover, this site should be destroyed ,the hole that the pipe is in should be collapsed with explosives they can do this the Russians have done it four times already ,but bp doesn't care ,they still think this is salvageable what does it matter to them ,i am surprised at the American government not stepping in and destroying the pipe ,they have no idea of the results of doing this, they will just stand by and hope for the best.what is that motto of children be prepared"
