They provided some links if anyone is interested in trying to obtain work and help out down there.
Dear Applicant,
Thank you for your interest in helping with the efforts to contain, treat and clean-up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Your immediate response is appreciated. This is a disaster that will take the efforts of many skilled and unskilled workers to resolve.
Due to the overwhelming response in this effort we are responding to your e mail as quickly as we can. The first wave of workers has been deployed. Many states are now mandating that the employees must be residents of that state to be hired for the clean up in that state.
Engineers at BP are continuing their subsea efforts to curb the oil spilling into the Gulf of Mexico after the Transocean Deepwater Horizon drilling rig tragically exploded last month.
We have enclosed a few links that might be helpful for you to obtain work in this area. There is also a link enclosed on the potential health risk related to this type of work. We would strongly suggest if you do have any existing health issues this position may not be suited for you.
Thank you again for your interest and we will contact you if more positions become available with us in this project. This is a long term problem, it will take many to try and fix it. Please try to limit your e mails and phone calls at this time. We will update you by e mail with any positions that may become available in the Gulf Clean Up, as it becomes available to us.
Sincerely, GCCU Team
