15. It's big news in northern Nevada because owner Mike Pegram
Edited on Sat May-15-10 05:55 PM by tonysam
has casino interests here.

He was the owner of Real Quiet, who nearly won the Triple Crown in 1998.

Pegram owns Bodine's, which is a locals-type casino at Highway 395 and Highway 50 just south of Carson City, Nevada. It opened two years ago. I went to the grand opening and met trainer Bob Baffert, racing great Laffit Pincay, and Big Brown's jockey, Kent Desormeaux, whose autograph I got when he came out of the men's room at the casino.
