Lawrence O'Donnell showing pictures of the 11 who died on the oil rig
He's filling in for Ed Schultz today and showing each picture plus telling us who they were.

13. I looked for information on them a few days ago as I noticed
Edited on Fri May-14-10 07:22 PM by sabrina 1
no one was mentioning them. I found only one article and posted it as an OP

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x8297724

It didn't get nearly as much attention as Sarah Palin threads though.

But I was glad to find that one reporter took the trouble to find out who these men were and remind the public that people died.

Their stories are heart-breaking, most of them young men with children.

Good for Lawrence O'Donnell for reminding people of the cost in lives.

15. American media has been silent about these men
(except for small Mississippi, Louisiana and Texas hometown papers).

I did find an article in a UK paper which lists all eleven:

The missing men of Deepwater Horizon oil rig

7. Good for Lawrence!
It's disgusting how the MSM is ignoring these poor souls lost to the greed of Big Oil.

9. That was a wonderful thing.
Thanks, Lawrence. Their families have not forgotten them, we shouldn't either. I hadn't considered manslaughter as a possibility, but Lawrence and Mike Papantonio made a good case for it.

11. The media has been very quiet...
and I wonder why. When the mining accidents happened, the families were featured all over the news. I've seen very little about those who lost their lives in this oil spill disaster.
