Beau Biden had a stroke. Praying for his full recovery
PHILADELPHIA – Vice President Joe Biden's older son, the Delaware attorney general, had a mild stroke Tuesday and was transferred to a Philadelphia hospital, where he was recovering.

Beau Biden, 41, had been admitted to Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del., on Tuesday morning. Later in the day he was transferred to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia for observation and further tests, vice presidential spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander said.

A Christiana Care ambulance arrived at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital on Tuesday evening escorted by more than a dozen Delaware and Pennsylvania state police and Philadelphia police cars. Hospital officials declined to comment, referring questions to the vice president's office.

Biden was expected to recover, his doctor said.

I want to make sure I just don't cast my prayers to the wrong guy in the sky

49. You may be old, but you're not an adult
Go have your oh-so-deep (to high school students and first-time stoners) rant elsewhere. You do it poorly, and you pick your fights like a puling child.

23. You think thats my mean side?
Im merely being inquisitive and interested, because I believe knowledge about religions, mythology and rituals can make you a cultured person. My quest for knowledge and understanding is being stonewalled.

In spite of this, Im attempting to be quite congenial. :)

You're being a boor. You've hijacked this thread by belaboring your "point" in a belligerent fashion. Have you run out of clean corners in your own home to piss in?

28. These taunts and viciousness are uncalled for

Simply asking "Who are you praying to" is not thread-jacking, nor grounds to be treated in this fashion. Had anyone quickly answered (which they still have not), my curiosity would of been satisfied.

Is it that I do not automatically accept that prayers should automatically be directed to Yahweh? Is that it? Is the question offensive simply because I do not automatically accept the most common faith in the country?

Is this another case of an agnostic being attacked and persecuted for their quest for knowledge? Persecuted because they are not fellow believers and followers of this ritual?

Yes, maybe I don't believe the same as you, but thats not grounds to call me names! Not one bit. You all should be ashamed at how you have treated me because I do not share your faith, but rather have a fascination and curiosity about what it is (which I still don't know).

33. Thank you for clarifying. That shouldn't have been immensely difficult
I suggest no shame at your belief, but only at how you have collectively treated an inquisitive non-believer.

It is ok. I do forgive, and have no dogma that would compel me to do otherwise.

48. Okay, Ill answer this one
The right one is the one (or ones) that a given person believes in. If one doesn't believe in any of them, then a prayer to one's higher self can be helpful just to put the right energy out in the universe, the collective unconscious or whatever you care to call it. Prayers are wishes stated and can be sent out to whomever.

Most of the Deities I hang out with are female. Just a preference. I don't call what I do praying, I call it hoping, but it's awfully similar.

Lastly, you did hijack this thread and being coy about isn't the style I've come to expect from you. I'd suggest you pray to _____________ to bring back the cynical straight shooter we've all come to know.

Beau, may your recover be swift and uneventful and may it offer you whatever good an illness can.

stress from his high profile positions as Army officer and Attorney General. Seems like it might be safer, health-wise, to take a lower profile.
