Been here on DU for 9 years....I recall seeing many comments from the GOP side of things re OWG...They vehemently oppose the concept

Dismiss it as Socialistic Communism, etc etc

No Bending, no tweaking, no alternatives to fixing our planet with a collective effort.

But, In fact, we have the UN.....Nations united to advance Humanity....we should read that charter

However, the politics as it is....the UN is mired in Level 1 competition for selfish gain...each Nation looking out for itself as opposed to the Common Good

Occasionally. some good shit emerges....WHO, Peace Enforcement, UNICIF, etc

But the long term solutions for the GLOBE appears woefully inaqdequate....mostly Band aid Level...

Humanity is undergoing a major shift whether we like it or not....things are changing as time goes on....the things we are used to seeing, eating, enjoying are slowly being reduced....our collective lives lessened by poor decisions sometimes into despair and depression...

Sooner or Later, the GOP will come to its senses and promote cooperation among the Nations with the focus of addressing GLOBAL WARMING< RISING OCEANS

High CO2 Levels...400 ppm....etc etc with such magnitude that Major Famines is a distinct probability

Math comfirms...diminishing food resources vs rising human pop

Only a unified effort will solve our challenges

The GOP should seriously consider SOLVING instead of being part of the Problem....
