An Upside Down Car lying in a Pool of Blood

So my mother got in a fender bender the other day. She was driving and couldnt see the light turn yellow because a truck was blocking it. She slammed on the brakes, and the car behind her hit her on the side. Nothing too bad. Nobody was hurt. Well, today she got a lot of things in the mail. Three Ambulance Chasers sent er Flyers and advertisements, including her very own accident report, wanting to know if she was injured so they can represent her. One even wrote their own personal creepy note on a sticky like him and my mother were best friends. The most disgusting part though? One of them sent a fridge magnet with their number on it. It was a an upside down car with smoke where the tires are, and a pool of red (Most likely to signify blood) at the roof of the car where the victims head would be. Pretty sickening if you ask me.

5. Before we just start bashing lawyers hither and yon, can we keep in mind

that they're not ALL like that? Not even ALL personal injury attorney firms are like that. I'd guess that fewer than 5% of firms in that game are scumbags like that.

6. I don't know any lawyers like that

The few I have worked with are caring competent professionals.

I especially remember the attorney who handled my parents' estate. I have a sibling who is disabled and my parents wanted to make sure she was taken care of for the rest of her life. The attorney was absolutely wonderful and made what could have been a very difficult process flow smoothly.

A dear friend nearly died from medical incompetence. (She was given an injection with a dirty needle.) She had an absolutely wonderful attorney who put in countless hours on her case.

My hat's off to lawyers.

7. I've had dealings with a LOT of them.

My father's estate attorney ripped us all off. He was a total ass, and sometimes I think about how much I'd like 10 minutes alone with him.

However, professionally, I'd not be where I am today if not for no fewer than 3 lawyers. I also may not be a free man today if not for the exceedingly litigious gentleman that has my back in everything I do for animals. Lastly, I work with dozens of lawyers every day, but they're real estate/title lawyers, so it's a bit different.

And I always wanted to be one.

10. I was a juror in a trial set up by a scam artist lawyer.

He had written an unfinished contract for the sale of a shopping mall.

When the escrow company refused to validate the contract because it was unfinished he contacted them the night before the due date.

He promised to get the final part of the contract to them the next morning and threatened to sue them if they delayed the sale past the due date so they okayed it.

The next morning he sued them for validating an invalid contract.

He made a bad contract on purpose, intimidated people to accept it then sued them for accepting it.

And he won most of what he was asking for.

The defense lawyers after the trial said he has a long history of doing this sort of thing and he usually wins.
