Monarchy up 100% in the last 3 days!
Edited on Fri May-04-07 02:06 PM by KurtNYC
April 4, 2007 (KNY) The number of monarchs in the USA has risen an alarming 100% in the past 48 hours. Since 1776, most Americans have believed that even one monarch is too many and now there are TWO within US borders. Monarchs are generally regarded as worthless figure heads who have little understanding of how real people actually live. They get their positions for life based on who their parents are and as such there are no other qualifications for the position. A general lack of understanding of economics, foreign policy and social policy leads to disastrous results when Monarchs are allowed to run countries.

Our reporter on scene at Monticello, heard distinct "rolling over" sounds coming from the grave of Thomas Jefferson at exactly the time CNN welcomed the 2nd monarch to the USA.

Crowds have gathered and waited for the Queen of England to apologize for theft of land, wholesale slaughter of native inhabitants, taxation without representation and hunting down and killing 26 Americans who signed the Declaration of Independence while burning their farms and torturing some of them to death, suppressing free speech, denying habeus corpus, denying religious freedom, denying freedom of assembly, destroying printing presses, slavery and general crimes against humanity. And it is still expected that the Queen will apologize for these actions*.

Spokespeople for the Queen have stated that her visit to Jamestown is to honor those Brits who liberated the native americans right off of their land. They elaborated that the key to 400 years of occupation is to have absolutely no exit strategy. The Queen is expected to visit native americans and apologize for the genocide and general destruction of the environment in North America*.

*when hell freezes over.

1. Hey, Finneman said GOP candidates looked "regal" and that's what Americans
do want ("democrats should understand...")
Right in the lead up to the Reagan show called a debate.

11. I still can't believe that Olbermann went along on the royalty theme
Randi Rhodes has played and replayed the clips of Olbermann bestowing the "regal qualities" upon the group of Repug candidates. He went on using other royalty comparisons also. Coronation, procession, etc.

I could understand him not being overtly critical or bashing them, but I was shocked that he was so deferential. As Randi said, it was embarrassing.

2. I like the Royal Family. Thomas Jefferson would approve of
the peace and cooperation between our countries.

9. Who, Nazi-boy? LOL! Yep, not a family highlight! But I'm sort of an
Anglophile. I like the fact that the monarchy still exists--they are struggling to stay relevant, and the world is changing, and they may not be around too much longer, but I appreciate the present-day connection to so much history and tradition. And Jefferson was an enlightened man of the world--I maintain he would approve of our alliance and friendship with Britain.

4. Yeah, Thomas Jefferson couldn't stand Elizabeth II.
Especially after she invaded America in 1812 and raped all of his slaves.

6. Because, of course, treatment of Native Americans was perfect after independence
and the British Empire retained slavery long after the United States did.
