I think I just had an epiphany...
Sarah Palin is the American Political equivalent of junk food.
She has a tasty item to sell, and she can, make a lot of money off of selling it (and is).
The difference between those not paying her for it and those that are paying her for it, is the difference between those who have figured out that at some point, for your own well-being, you have to stop eating McDonald's 3 times a day, and prolly get some excercise while youre at it.
Sarah Palin...Tasty as Hell, but no nutritional value.

5. it is all people can afford
For some, it is all they can afford. Palin operates in the vacuum created by their being no strong left wing political movement, so anger at "the system" finds its expression in support for her.

Many people cannot afford to shop at upscale boutique places for the better food, cannot afford the time for food preparation as they work longer hours or two jobs, and in the same manner cannot afford the time required to get past the partisan political arena and learn what is happening. Few activists who do have the time and resources to do that ever get beyond thinking in terms of partisan electoral politics. To expect most working people to do that is not reasonable.

7. Definitely NOT tastey
If you had an epiphany you would have KNOWN it. There would be no doubt about it!

The fact that you only think it was an epiphany means that it was not, in fact, an epiphany.

Besides, the word "tasty" should never be used in the same proximity to "Sarah Palin," much less to describe her. If one was to, figuratively, taste something that vile, they whould, figuatively, be spitting for weeks. Bleeeaaaah!

That is all:)
