Lindsey Graham withdraws support from Senate climate bill - sends letter
stating he won't continue with Kerry and Lieberman because the Democrats decided to work on immigration reform bill first...(Link)

Graham was THE ONLY REPUBLICAN supporting the climate change bill, and was under attack by other GOPers for working with Democrats.

Harry Reid said that BOTH climate change and immigration reform bills can be worked on simultaneously, but that both REQUIRE "bipartisan support".

Republicans evidently will not do anything to help our country for fear of losing votes in November.

Remember the McCain-Palin-GOP campaign slogan "Country First"?

We really MUST get together and vote in November, and get more Democrats in office...every office, everywhere.

1. Someone in the GOP probably had pics of him with his boyfriend.
And blackmailed him to get him to quit supporting the bill.

3. This sounds like he was looking for an excuse, any excuse, to bail out of this bill..
I suspect he was getting massive pressure from teabaggers and others who think GW/CC is bunk. Sad situation to put politics ahead of an issue which is likely to result in the worst crisis in the history of mankind. Not that this bill was going to solve it but I suppose at least it was a first step.

4. Sure - now they can blame the Dems and spend the rest of the year doing nothing but
preparing for the elections while complaining about a do-nothing government.

We must get every Democratic vote we possibly can and defeat them in November, even gain power as much as possible.
