AMERICAN EXPERIENCE focuses on the 1968 My Lai massacre, its subsequent cover-up, and the heroic efforts of the soldiers who broke ranks to try to halt the atrocities, and then bring them to light.

I read the account of the massacre literally holding my breath. Amazing--what a courageous man. No, the word "courageous" doesn't even begin to touch the truth. Thinking that quickly and being so selfless without having any time to plan... it says so much about the kind of person he was. Inspiring. I hope the program gives him all the credit that is his due.
