At the Doctor's office today.
I'm in the waiting area. A late 60's gentleman sits down. He looks at me and says "What has the government been doing in the last 8 years?" OK, I'm hooked. I get called in for the appointment. I tell him I want to hear what he has to say. He's still waiting when I get back. I sit down and we have a wide-ranging conversation. We both realize we are preaching to the choir.

Bush wrecking crew, medicare drug plan scam, financial meltdown, Stanford, Lehman, SEC. While he was in Vietnam getting his ass shot off Cheney was figuring out how to stick it to America.

Others were listening.

1. It was the rest of the wiating room that garned the greatest benefit
of your conversation. It is GOOD to have these conversations out where people can hear us.

6. I told my husband to build a coop yesterday...
he has no insurance. He looked at me like I was nuts until I showed him Nutbag Nevada Lady's suggestions.

Conversations ended as he stared at the article in disbelief.

7. "Preaching to the Choir"
While we 'preach to the Choir' on DU, others may be listening. Same as in the waiting room.

The urge to STOP preaching to the choir is an attempt to stifle any dissent from the party line. Of course we have to talk about this stuff. Anywhere and everywhere.
