Teabaggers all about violence
SALINA, Kan. - A Kansas gubernatorial candidate has been arrested over an alleged altercation at a recent tea party event in central Kansas.

The Salina Journal reported Saturday that Ken Cannon of Salina faces charges of battery and making a criminal threat. Cannon is running an independent campaign for governor.

Salina police said Friday that Cannon's arrest Thursday wasn't related to the tea party event, although the alleged altercation took place at that gathering

1. OK I don't understand
He gets into an "altercation" at a tea party event.

The cops arrest him for his part in the altercation.

But then they say the arrest "wasn't related" to the tea party event.

2. Any number of reasons that could be the case

If I go to an event and someone else I have a mutual hate on for unrelated reasons also goes to that event and we cross paths in the wrong way, it doesn't mean whatever happens as a result is necessarily a function of the event itself.
