I'm in the lobby of a medical insurance company registering
blood donors. Some guy was just at the front desk trying to get his insurance taken care of. He claims to run a trucking business but that a trucking company had dropped his insurance without notifying him.
He's in here cheerfully talking about getting switched over to carry his insurance himself. They aren't giving him any numbers at this time, just a contact to go see to get it set up. Boy, is his attitude going to change! I get the feeling that he's been lucky and has no idea what kind of money he's talking about.
He even made a half joking derogatory comment about the HCR bill to one of the women. Sarcastically saying, "that's what the American people want." Then, "I don't think so."
He's about 50 and he smokes. We gotta be talking at least $500 a month for any decent insurance, probably more like $750. I wish I could go with him to hear about his new plan.

1. When he gets the bill
he will blame Obama and the Democrats. Stupid is as stupid does.

2. If he has a family
he's looking at a lot more than $500 for a good plan, if he's even eligible. I wonder if he'll change his tune upon finding out that the only thing that keeps his kids pre-existing conditions covered is the HCR bill?

3. Stupid is right
I have a fried who works in a cardiology office. Insurance providers routinely deny tests. For the past year, the denied patients have been blaming "ObamaCare" for the denial.

You just can't define stupid any clearer.

4. His insurance company dropped him without notifying him? How could such a thing happen
in the wondrous world of private insurance? Oh yeah that's right Obamacare did it. :eyes:

I'd love to see a follow up on this story. He's in for a rude awakening.
