I met Rosa Parks, Glenn Beck you're no Rosa Parks...
I met Rosa Parks 25 years ago. I got to talk with her and she was such a gracious, thoughtful person. She didn't say a lot, but I realized how courageous she was and what she did for our country. It was truly an honor to have met her.

When I heard Glenn Beck compare himself to Mahatma Ghandi and Rosa Parks it sickened me. Ghandi and Parks had principles and courage. They risked their lives for the betterment of their fellow man. Beck is a coward who hides in his studio inciting hatred and provoking anger, rage, racism and fear. Beck is completely void of any principles or honor. His every action and word is to enrich himself at the expense of others.

Although he professes to be a Christian, Beck makes his living by bearing false witness against his neighbors and violating many other Biblical laws and mandates, but his dimwitted followers listen to and believe his every word anyway. What is baffling is that Beck has a large following of fundamentalist Christians. I wonder how they can tolerate Beck's constant assaults against Jesus' teachings? Beck even told his audience to leave their churches if they find anything in their church that advocates 'social justice', without even realizing that if they did that every church would be empty because the Bible has at least 2,000 references to social justice in it. But if Beck has ever read the Bible, he doesn't understand a word in it, and neither do his fake Christian fans.

BTW, I have sent countless challenges to Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh and other right wing radio hosts to on-air debates, but each challenge was met with cowardly silence. They would never debate anyone in a fair debate. I am a veteran of the US military. I served my country and put my life on the line. But these cowards all ran from serving their country. They ran from serving in the military just as fast as they ran from my challenges to debate them. Although they would have every advantage like years of on-air experience, surrounded by their staffs feeding them information, and being in the safe confines of their guarded, secret studios they still ran from my challenges to debate. Not one of these cowards have any principles, honor or dignity. They are opportunistic bullies who market hate to gullible dolts who lap up their every word of the verbal puss that flows from their evil mouths, like mindless hyenas seemingly unable to get enough hatred, anger and racism to satisfy their insatiable thirst.

(I apologize to real hyenas, which are smarter and more principled than tea bagging, right wing, conservative extremists)

ROSA PARKS, AMERICAN HERO:

GLENN BECK, AMERICAN ZERO:

4. Baby Beck...
ROSA PARKS courageously riding a bus...

GLENN BECK crying because he's too stupid to figure out how to drive a bus...

Beck is void of any dignity, honor or integrity. He isn't even worthy of driving a person of Rosa Park's stature, let alone compare himself to her. Is there just one conservative with any brains or integrity who will attack Beck for his pompous, delusionary insanity?

6. How long until Beck
compares himself to Christ by asserting that the "left" is 'crucifying' him unjustly?

Any day, now. Any day.

Ick.

7. Have you noticed "Madamesilverspurs' how conservatives always say they are persecuted?
CONSERVATIVE EXTREMISTS HAVE A PERSECUTION COMPLEX...

Fundamentalist Christians have always been fixated on being persecuted. It serves their demented purpose well. But conservatives also use the persecution complex too. Every right wing radio host constantly whine about being persecuted by others. It is sickening how the right wing likes to weave their deranged interpretations of Christianity into everything they do, when they know nothing about the Bible or Jesus' teachings. In fact, they condemn everything Jesus lived and died for. Even if you don't believe Jesus was the son of God, it would be hard to argue that he was a good teacher who had a good message people could live by. But I don't see any conservative extremists living by the words of Jesus.

8. I was fired once for my Darwin fish on my car
He said it was like a stick to his eye. Nevermind all the Jesus fish on every other car back then. Or that Christians need a secret symbol now like Beck needs an acting coach. NOT persecuted, just intolerant persecutors who wallow in the stories of the past and exploit them.

20. You were lucky you weren't fired AT by a right wing christian fanatic...
'Real' Christians carry guns. But that always makes me wonder. If they truly had faith in Jesus, then why would they feel the need to arm themselves with a deadly weapon? They must not have the faith they 'say' they do. Damned hypocrites!

16. I understood you LynneSin! I know you were talking about Beck.
Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity and their ilk are exactly the people Eleanor Roosevelt was talking about when she made that great quote. Right wing radio hosts do nothing but talk about people. They spend their entire shows condemning people. They certainly don't talk about ideas, solutions or anything of substance. As I have written so many times here and everywhere, right wing radio hosts make their fortunes by 'bearing false witness against their neighbors', although each of them professes to be Christian. I am frankly shocked how no democratic leader or true Christian has ever made that obvious point.

Thanks again for the great quote. I love to talk about ideas too. Brainstorming is one of my favorite pastimes and as a filmmaker it is exciting to be with a group of creative people who express their thoughts and ideas openly. The resulting ideas that come from brainstorming session is always so much larger than the number of people in the group. No one criticizes, and one idea builds upon another often with magical results.

I just tried to imagine a brainstorming session with Limbaugh, Beck & Hannity and just the thought of being in a group with professional pessimists was hilarious.
