So that's what they are all about. I hope Keith shows that tonight.

HANNITY: See, can I add one thing? I think we won the debate.
DREIER: We did win the debate.
HANNITY: When you think about the vast majorities that they have in Congress and they had to bribe, backroom deals, corruption, that’s all because the tea party movement, the people — all these Tim McVeigh wannabes here.
(CHEERS AND APPLAUSE)

HANNITY: Guys, thank you for being here.

2. I feel ill
I think he meant it as a joke (in typical right-wing blowhard style of joking, anyway) but the audience didn't even bat an eye before it start applauding and cheering.

10. I'm inclined to believe it was a joke, BUT when we have gun nuts rallying
as close to the WH as possible on the anniversary of the bombing of the Federal Building, going so far as to determine how close they can get to the WH and still open carry, I'm inclined to believe that some in his audience takes it very seriously.

Being a conservative though, his delivery fucking sucks, and irony is a foreign concept to him.

But hte audience didn't even pause. Guh.

The audience has an out then, too. Not that I don't think they would cheer that, but I think this is a losing fight. If I were Keith, I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole--it's a trap.

62. You know, when I think about the influence these racists/dumbfucks have
or could have on our political process; when I think of the possibility we could once again be a minority to them, I consider the thought of a civil war as...welllllll....

If it ever came to that, we'd eliminate their ideology handily based solely on our ability to spell common English words in strategic communications.

20. I have no problem with the reference
McVeigh and the rest of the Tea Party fucksticks have no idea what it really means. I see it as a bright shining beacon to their ignorance and stupidity. The fucksticks think the Revolutionary War was fought over taxation and it wasn't. It was fought over the right of democratic representation, which is a concept the fucksticks have complete disdain. If they were alive in 1776, they would be known as loyalists, not patriots.

Edited on Thu Apr-01-10 03:52 PM by Moostache
This principle was tested once before in our nation's history and it did not turn out so well for the South THAT time either. If they want a war, fine. I put my faith in the capabilities of the United States Army to defend the republic. In the words of one of their apparent heroes - Bush the Lesser (at least I assume this because there was precious little outrage or protests from these "patriots" on his watch; while he wiped his ass with the Constitution, spent national blood and treasure to enrich his supporters and cronies, and authorized the use of tactics which make the USA a spiritual kinsman to the goddamn Spanish Inquisition!!!!) - BRING 'EM ON.

They can get all the bullets they want, and they can die just as surely as anyone else under the missiles and bombs of the uniformed military - sworn to defend this republic against ALL enemies - foreign AND domestic. They want to die for false outrage and ginned up rage made possible by cynics and greedy bastards playing them all like a Stradivarius, then be my guest. I personally will miss their unintended comedy routines they call speeches, but I am sure I can find other entertaining idiots on You Tube to replace them tomorrow...

37. I sent the clip to this local radio talkshow wingnut & that's what he claimed, that it was "ironic"
and answering Tweety:

*************QUOTE************

He is being ironic. Tim McVeigh wannabes is what Chris Matthews and others think all teapartiers are.

***********UNQUOTE************

But I listened to the whole (long version) link, and I could detect NO TRACE of irony, satire, or sarcasm. That said, I have never listened to HANNITY extensively (the way I have monitored LIMBO and Tweety), so if HANNITY has explained away the "MacVEIGH wannabes" reference before as being a take-off on Tweety, I don't know. The delivery is totally DRY.

That said, I myself DO believe that ALL Teabaggers really ARE MacVEIGH wannabes, at whatever layer of disguise.

40. The victims ranged in age from three months to seventy-three
It is estimated that 646 people were inside the building when the bomb exploded.<83> By the end of the day of the bombing, twenty were confirmed dead, including six children, and over one hundred injured.<84> The toll eventually reached 168 confirmed dead, not including an unmatched leg that could have belonged to a possible, unidentified 169th victim.<2> Most of the deaths resulted from the collapse of the building, rather than the bomb blast.<85> Those killed included 163 who were in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, one person in the Athenian Building, one woman in a parking lot across the street, a man and woman in the Oklahoma Water Resources building, and a rescue worker struck on the head by debris.<86>

The victims ranged in age from three months to seventy-three, not including the fetuses of three pregnant women.<86><87> Of the dead, 99 worked for the federal government.<88> Nineteen of the victims were children, fifteen of whom were in the America's Kids Day Care Center.<89> The bodies of the 168 victims were identified at a temporary morgue set up at the scene.<90> A team of 24, which included sixteen specialists, used full-body X-rays, dental examinations, fingerprinting, blood tests, and DNA testing.<88><91><92> Over 680 people were injured; the majority of the injuries were caused by abrasions, severe burns, and bone fractures.<3>

McVeigh later reflected on killing children in the bombing: "I didn't define the rules of engagement in this conflict. The rules, if not written down, are defined by the aggressor. It was brutal, no holds barred. Women and kids were killed at Waco and Ruby Ridge. You put back in faces exactly what they're giving out."<93>

But these fuckin morons have been waiting all their lives for SOMEBODY to be scared of them. What the FBI and BATF did at Ruby Ridge and Waco was incredibly stupid - incompetence like that should have resulted in prision terms. But loot at haw the recent case of tax protesters Ed and Elaine Brown was handled, and we are seeing a new model - same thing with the Hutaree.
Listen, you stooopid bastids! It does'nt matter how many cops you murder, how many innocents you slaughter. You will not advance your cause in any way, you will not get to be boss! The people who enslave you are not in the White House, they don't come near smelly fools like you. They ride in executive helicopters and private jets, and they are using the threat of you to delay the day they have to pay their fair share of taxes, or get on the same airplane as you. if it takes killing 10 of your children to make their lawn greener, they are fine with that. You are being set up to be their goon squads, their mine police, their Klan - to make war on unions, on liberal churches, on social workers, on educated professionals and skilled craftsmen, on miners and millhands - for the security of the rich, to grind us "back where we belong" - begging for work at starving wages, building castles for the rich while our world falls apart.

63. Tea baggers
Edited on Fri Apr-02-10 10:55 PM by MkapX
Well, the Tea baggers aren't exactly the smartess people in america just by the fact they follow a woman who writes on her hand and starts a speech with "Gosh" and "Golly".(Palin). Us liberals might be stuck in our ivy league towers, but quite frankly i rather have the country be lead by a person whose IQ is past 70. Taxes on the middle class have actually gone down on Obama's watch which proves that the people in the so call tea party movement know nothing about the thing they are protesting about. Im not going to say that all tea baggers are dangerous, but when you have baggers saying that revolution is around the corner and waving their RPG's and heavy machine guns in the air...it stokes the flames of violence. And other groups like militia men...feed on that energy. Regardless if they say they are non violent. The foxnews pundits can say that radical left wingers are just as dangerous but come on, whens the last time a left winger flew a plane into a IRS building or plotted to kill a cop, even the weather underground and the black panther party retricted their actions to institition not people, never was it their intention to kill someone as oppose to McVeigh and the right wing militias
