I can't deduct the food I eat, my rent, phone bill, or other expenses of just surviving, so why should corporate ''persons'' be able to?

Businesses are taxed on PROFITS but people are taxed on INCOME.

Either tax people like corporations (which would mean most of us would pay no taxes at all) or tax corporations like people.

And every other onerous law that applies to people should also be applied to corporations.

2. If I remember correctly..

The way the personhood of corperations was put forth gave them all the legal positives of it's status and very few if any negatives.

I could be wrong though, been a while since I looked this up.

3. Add, corporate America owes the people a hefty sum of back taxes.
Including full penalties and interest.

4. They sorta do that with people

You can deduct certain expenses, children, etc. Marginal rates try and account for the cost of living really and there are plenty of write-offs to establish tax fairness.

Its a pretty complex issue. Taxing corps income is a ridiculous notion, especially when some don't even make profits (they would have nothing to pay). With that said, rather, the real move should be to give people more options and abilities to not pay taxes on what they spend on a necessary standard of living.

9. That's not the point. Corporations get to deduct "living expenses"...
while we (living, breathing humans) can't.

It's a helluva point.

15. But people do, just not enough
And remember, that taxed money gets distributed to private shareholders, and taxed again (at a piddly amount)

11. We do tax them like people as far as rates are concerned.
The highest corporate tax federal is 39%. The highest people rate federal which few pay is 35%. Corporations can deduct most of their expenses and people can take the standard deduction (in addition to other that may apply such as aged, blind, etc.). People can't deduct ordinary expenses of life however.

14. Because corporations are not people, they're immortal, amoral, invulnerable super-beings.
They are superior to us and therefore have superior rights.
