The Republican bondage scandal
http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/national-party-news/89773-the-republican-bondage-scandal

By Brent Budowsky - 03/30/10 10:44 AM ET

This is too good to be true. It now appears as though the Republican National Committee authorized spending of almost $2,000 for an establishment that featured bondage. Of course, there are endless permutations for Democrats to suggest what this latest episode tells us about Republicans, but since I always take the high road, here are some key points:

This scandal was unearthed by (or handed to) the Daily Caller, the site founded by Tucker Carlson, a respected journalist who landed a great scoop. Who knows what is next, after the bondage affair, which raises some serious issues:

2. Remember while you do
People don't like prudes. That's why they didn't like Republicans.

5. While I agree this whole situation
will be a thorn in the RNC's side, who on that site really believes "Tucker Carlson, a respected journalist" ? .. Dancing with the Stars Tucker? Bush loving Tucker? Uck.

7. Nope, it's far more likely that Tucker Carlson was acting as a respected party hack
willing to do a "favor" to hurt Michael Steele. Tucker lost his respectability as a journalist when he covered the Scooter Libby trial without mentioning that his GOP big shot father co-founded Libby's defense fund.

6. DING DING DING! Babsbunny, you're our grand prize winner!
It now appears as though the Republican National Committee authorized spending of almost $2,000 for an establishment that featured bondage.
That's the part of the story that everyone is overlooking. It isn't as though it was donor who hosted of the Voyeur event, and demanded reimbursement afterwards. No one is disputing that the fired staffer tried to charge the Voyeur event on the RNC credit card, then persuaded the donor to pay with the promise of reimbursement. And why not? For once, they were playing fair--the event was SUPPOSED to be the RNC's expense!
