No, IMNSHO, unless they've morphed, they are by far - not all stupid.

It's fun to laugh at the inept people, but the ones who take this stuff seriously and who have intelligence and amorality on their side, are not many, but I'd bet good money, they are OUT THERE.

Dismiss unpatriotic (domestic enemies to our Constitution) elements at your peril. By no means do I promote a TIPS program but I fully support the efforts of the FBI in infiltrating and disrupting these units.

At the very least, it makes better use of our tax dollars to investigate "armed militias" rather than the sisters and brothers within Catholic Peace groups such as Plowshares and Pax Christi. ;)

However, the very concept that you can take on the US military is a good sign of a very feeble grasp on reality. That does not mean many innocent people can't be hurt before the hammer is dropped.

Far to many people don't know forming militias is the states responsibility not the individuals. Michigan already has a state militia, its called the National Guard. These nit wits are just vigilantes who are neither following the laws of the land or the elected officials of the state, they are terrorists no matter how anyone sugar coats their intent. They by nature think its their duty to bring down the elected government and replace them with people that share their ideals of what the laws of the land should be.

Just because they do some community volunteer work doesn't change their intent nor their goals, they are pissed off because the party they hate won the election so they want to overturn the election. They refuse to accept the fact that Obama and the democratic party are in control of the country. They are like the KKK in many ways, in fact most of them would be KKK members if the KKK wasn't looked down on as anti american. But they share many of the K's ideology, I don't like the government telling me what I can do or say and so I'm going to kill anyone that gets in my way. Though 99% of them haven't the balls to do more then play soldier theres always at least 1 McVeigh in their midst that will carry things out.
