LOL right wing radio station gets bit by FCC regs forcing it to air an offensive ad
This is hilarious! KMBZ airs Rush 2 or 3 times a day and has local shows hosted by right wing loons. The host of the show airing this ad, Darla Jaye, routinely calls the president a Muslim and is a featured speaker at teabagger rallies.

The program director of KMBZ radio in Kansas City says the station has no choice but to air commercials with racially biased and anti-Semitic claims from a write-in candidate for the U.S. Senate from Missouri.

The ads — which began on the station last week — are from Glenn Miller, a Springfield man who once ran the White Patriot Party. He’s been described by the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala., as a white supremacist and former paramilitary organizer.

One of Miller’s ads, aired during the Darla Jaye talk show program in the evening, urges whites to “take their country back” and disparages Jews and nonwhites.

The Missouri secretary of state’s office said Miller has filed required papers to qualify as a write-in candidate in the 2010 Senate race.

2. "Forced" to run the ads???

Program Director: "Gee, we wish we didn't have to run those ads that really just say what we all think, but gosh darn it, that librul FCC is forcing us! Now pay attention!"

5. That's almost spooky--you've nailed the subconscious of the hate-wing radio station PR man.
Now get some rest and drink plenty of fluids before that toxin takes hold of you.

3. I don't think that the station can stop them
Unless the laws have changed.

I remember when Larry Flynn, owner of Hustler Mag, was going to run for President. He vowed to flood the airwaves with nekkid women in his campaign ads. The powers that be did some research and found out that they couldn't prevent it. There's no restrictions on campaign ads.

4. Well since they are "forced" to run this ad
how about a democratic write in candidate do the same thing. They won't be able to deny anything they want to say in the ad. That's the problem the Democrats are just sitting on their ass and not fighting back.

8. Well I doubt many Democrats listen to this station
and I would be shocked if any were regular listeners to Darla.

6. Sounds like candidate Miller knows KMBZ's listeners very well
He's certainly targeting the proper demographic to get as many votes as he can.
