To conservatives, that makes her only a moderate among Democrats
......"She's by no means a maverick," said Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C. "She's obviously a loyal Democrat. But I wouldn't call her an ideologue."

Yup, Amy Klobuchar!!!

In hyperpartisan D.C., Minnesota's first elected female senator has crafted a reputation as an avatar of pragmatism, with one of the most centrist voting records in the Senate.

By KEVIN DIAZ

It was vintage Amy Klobuchar: talking Minnesotan, standing up for an ordinary driver from Plymouth and tackling the Toyota recalls, a safe consumer topic with almost zero partisan tinge.

To a packed Senate hearing, Klobuchar compared Jeffrey Pepski's complaints about his runaway Toyota to "a hockey puck going back and forth on the ice." The puck, she said, "never got in the net. Nothing was resolved and people died."

Even Republicans, who have watched Klobuchar's career arc with grudging admiration, point to moments like these to explain how the 49-year-old Democrat could have a long career in the Senate and a high rise in politics, barring some uncharacteristic mistake.

Genial and self-effacing to the point of being underestimated, the first elected female senator from Minnesota has crafted a reputation as an avatar of pragmatism, with one of the most centrist voting records in the Senate.

1. She absolutely sucks. And don't think real DFL'er don't know it
I know they are mounting a campaign to get a real democratic candidate to run against her. She doesn't even answer a constituent. She's too busy raking in that corporate money. MINNESOTA IS NOT, I REPEAT NOT, CONSERVATIVE.
